Here I am!

My first entry.

I tried to write this last night but I kept second guessing myself. Typical.

Well, here I am. I am 31 years old. I'm married to Matt, exceptional husband, dad, and engineer. Matt and I met about 8 years ago through work friends. I just remember thinking he was so handsome and smart. I would get butterflies when I knew I was going to see him. We've been married for 3 years and we have a sweet 11-month old boy, Benjamin. When I look at Matt now, I don't get butterflies anymore, not usually, but I do often think to myself, "How did I get so lucky?" Sometimes, I just think, "I wonder if he remembered to mail those checks."

Matt helped me come up with my blog name (funny story) and the website (goodnightmoon was taken). He asked me why I wanted to blog and what I was going to write about. For now, this blog is for me. That takes a lot of the pressure off. I have a hard time finding the right words sometimes and if I imagine anybody reading this, I will obsess over my writing and I will never post. So, my intention is just to write my thoughts and the things that make up my days. I will write about the things that make me smile and that I don't want to forget. Maybe eventually, I will invite friends and family to read. Maybe.

So, this week will be my first as a stay-at-home mom. More about that soon.
